View or Delete Browsing History in Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge like all the main internet browsers records by default our browsing history: it includes the sites that you have visited, the form data and your downloaded files.

All this information is the track of our activity and can be useful to remember previous visited pages. But specially when we share a device: PC, computer, laptop or mobile, it is important to keep our privacy data safe and away from others.

In Microsoft Edge is very easy to view, manage and delete our history and activity.

There are the steps:

  • Open Microsoft Edge Browser.
  • Click on the menu button (see following image for detail).

  • Then we will click on the clock icon (see image)

view microsoft edge history

  • Then, a menu will be opened with all our last individual edge browser history. We can view the history last hour visited websites and older.
  • To delete all browsing history we will select option Clear all history.
  • Once clicked we can find in the new window with a button where we can choose what is to be deleted from this history to be of our liking and not end with some data that is important to us. Once we click on the button, we can see all the categories of information that can be deleted from the browser. Among those that we find the complete browsing history, the cookies and saved data, the data and files in cache, the tabs that have been reserved recently closed.

They can also be deleted, although they are not selected by default, download history, form data, passwords and so on up to ten different parameters that Microsoft collects from our Edge activity.

As you can see it's quite easy to erase the history, and especially customisable, thanks to the erase options that this offers us at all times. In this way we will always feel safe after navigating, being able to activate even in the same screen the automatic deletion of all the information after having closed the Edge browser.

If we want to open a private browser window that will not store our activity by default we can use the option New InPrivate Window.

The iPhone has a major disadvantage for all of its users and it is that they don’t have a physical space for a MicroSD memory like Samsung devices for example. This option for extra space helps to support the most valuable images of your smartphone. So, as you probably know, we must learn to manage the free space we have left, especially for iPhone that only have 16GB of capacity.

We want to help you to solve this problem. That's why today we have made a list with the different options you got to remove the photos from your device. However, before starting, we want to recommend you to send all the photos on your gallery to the cloud or pass them to your computer, on this way you will keep the memories.

Let's see how to delete photos from Iphone and Itunes.

How to delete photos from iPhone

If you are having difficulties to delete any picture from your iPhone, you should know that only the pictures that were taken with the camera of your smartphone or that were downloaded from the mail can be deleted directly from the photo gallery. But the images that have been transferred from iTunes must be deleted from the folder where they are stored in the computer and then synchronize it.

1.- Open the Photos folder and then select the Album where the pictures you want to delete are.

2.-  Tap the Edit option. This one is located up in the right corner.

3.- Next, push a few seconds one photo and mass select all the photos you want to delete.

4.- Once you do this a red check will appear with all the pictures selected on the background and, finally, you will have to press the Delete Selected Photos button.

Delete photos from iTunes

To delete the photos that were transferred from iTunes do this:

1.- First, look up for the photo you want to delete from your iPhone.

2.- Move the picture to another folder and while doing this, connect the device to the computer with the USB cable.

3.- Next, open and run iTunes and click on iPhone there in the section named Devices or on the left corner at the top.

4.- Then, you will have to check the box to synchronize photos and select your hard drive where the photos you want to delete are.

5.- Finally, you will have to select the button to synchronize your device again and done!

You must eliminate all the pictures from all the albums. Also the structure of every image of the application Photos are based on the album with the same name, for the storage and subsequent organization in Albums, Streaming, etc. This is why it is basic to understand that where we have to erase it is in Photos.

Every picture won’t disappear immediately, the deleted image will remain in the "Recently deleted" folder, located in Albums. It needs 30 days until it disappears completely, which is why we will have to delete it there as well.

How to clear History on Safari

Your Safari browser comes with the feature of logging your web browsing tracks as you surf the web. This log is stored in the “history” section of your browser. It provides direct link to the websites that you have visited in a given time frame and the searches. It can also be dated all the way back to the first time you used Safari.

This is a useful feature, however sometimes it’s more important to erase your tracks and activity from your web browser for safety and privacy reasons or just to save disk storage of your computer, tablet or smartphone.

Clearing your history from this web browser can be done in two simple steps. But make sure you have the latest version of safari installed. Let’s see how it is done.

Open your latest version of the Safari browser and click on the “Edit” tab. You will see a tab like the one shown in the following image with some options activated. Hover your mouse down to the option “Reset Safari”.

The Reset Safari window will open asking you if you are sure you want to reset your Safari browser. From the items provided, click on all the data which you wish to delete, be careful reading all the options. To erase only your surf historical data, check the “clear history” box and uncheck all other boxes. Finally, click on the “reset” button at the bottom to end the process.

To check if it has been successfully cleared, re-visit your “history” section to make sure all items are removed. It should look like this:

Another option to enjoy privacy with your browser is using one new feature of Safari. It gives you the option to open a private browsing window, which does not log your anything while you browse the net to ensure privacy. This is useful when using public computers or shared computers, especially. However, you may lose some useful websites if you choose this option and if you don’t remember the previous searches.

To start a private browsing window, click on the gear icon on the far right of your browser. A set of options will appear just like the following screen capture, and then select “private browsing”. This will open a new browser which works exactly like a normal browser except it doesn’t store your web browsing data for all the current session.

You can safely exit the private browsing window after your web surfing session without having to worry about clearing the nothing yourself. Nothing will be stored in your computer. No track of your daily activity.

The tutorial is over. Hope the guide will be very useful.
