I can't delete IE history. What do I do?
IE stores history files that your can't delete manually. There are three index.dat files used by IE. They are used by IE to store Internet history, cache, cookies and other information about your Internet activity but they can't be deleted manually as they are used by Windows all the time.
Using Clear All History you can delete IE history tracks that can't be deleted manually.

• How can I delete search history in Mozilla?
To delete search history in Mozilla:
• Select "Tools"
• Select "Internet Options".
• Open the "Content" tab.
• Click the "AutoComplete" button.
• Click the "Clear forms" button to clear all AutoComplete form data and/or click the "Clear Passwords" to clear stored passwords.
If you don't want Mozilla to save this data in the future, you may remove check marks from the necessary check boxes. You can also uncheck the "Forms" box in this window to keep this information from being stored in the future.
